• My first time at the Frauenthal golf course – a friendly welcome and, as a surprise, a special green fee offer: €100 for two players including a cart – due to the extreme heat! The well-maintained fairways (1-12) are situated in the tree-filled castle park, and from the 13th tee onwards, the course climbs into the mountains… spectacular! Simply wonderful to play! The greens are superbly manicured. Panoramic views! Good restaurant!

• One of the most beautiful golf courses in Styria, boasting meticulously maintained fairways and greens, and a well-designed driving range. The ambiance around the clubhouse is equally delightful, with its two inviting terraces, excellent cuisine, and exceptionally friendly service. As the saying goes... "Golf is a walk with obstacles." Interesting, varied, and challenging for all skill levels. Holes 1 through 11 are played in a castle park surrounding a Renaissance castle, featuring mature trees and numerous natural water hazards. From the 12th hole onward, the course becomes even more demanding, leading into the rolling hills of western Styria, where you'll encounter some elevation changes and a good level of fitness is required. All in all, a top-notch course that's a must-play.

• It all started at reception. Information and booking by phone were no problem. Arrival, scorecard and cart handover went smoothly. The cart was clean and appeared almost new. A beautiful, impeccably maintained course. A cart is recommended for the hilly holes from the 12th hole onwards or the back seven. Unfortunately, we didn't have time to try the restaurant. But we'll be back.
